Анотація
Стаття присвячена узагальненню наукових підходів до визначення зовнішності людини у криміналістичній габітології. На основі аналізу наукових підходів до визначення зовнішності людини сформульова но поняття «зовнішність людини», яке точніше розкриває його сутність і значення як методологічної категорії в теорії і практиці ідентифіка ції людини за ознаками зовнішності. Відповідно до потреб експертної і слідчої практики запропоновано класифікацію елементів і ознак зов нішності людини, що розширить можливості об’єктивно досліджувати та ідентифікувати людину за такими ознаками.
