Actual problems of conducting forensic commodity examinations of alternative energy sources

Abstract

The article is devoted to the actual features of conducting a com modity examination of alternative energy sources in the context of the global transition to renewable energy sources and the growing demand for “green” energy. Today, the potential of forensic research in the world is growing every year, improving the quality and accuracy of examination results, reducing expert subjectivity, standardizing, and expanding the range of application of specialized knowledge. The profession of forensic experts in Ukraine is significant and important for the judicial system, and the main task of their work is to contribute to the development of situations that are essential to the case, which will affect the court’s de cision. The way out of the ongoing oil and gas crisis, especially nowa days, is to use alternative energy sources. Alternative energy sources are natural processes that are converted into heat or electricity in a special way. The most common sources are solar electromagnetic radiation, air movement (wind), kinetic energy of water flow (rivers), energy from sea tides, and thermal energy from hot springs. Alternative energy also in volves the process of obtaining heat from renewable sources - biogas, bioethanol, fuel pellets, etc. Attention is drawn to the content and re quirements for expert commodity research of alternative energy facili ties, which is an important tool for assessing their quality, efficiency and compliance with standards. The author emphasizes the importance of measures to identify and systematize established practices that would allow for the future evaluation of alternative energy facilities.
