Abstract

The article discusses some aspects of research on missile weapons - the 9M723 ballistic missile of the 9K720 Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system, the relevance of which is due to their constant use by the Russian Armed Forces against military and civilian targets of Ukraine. Research institutions of forensic examinations have accumulated a sig nificant amount of materials on the study of these missiles. However, there are currently no methodologies that would define clear and effec tive algorithms for solving expert tasks on the study of these weapons. The information in scientific, technical and reference literature and oth er information sources is not systematized, often contradictory and in complete. The purpose of the study is to form a regulatory and method ological framework for conducting expert research to investigate events related to the use of 9M723 OTRK 9K720 “Iskander-M” missiles by the Russian Federation. The methods of systemic, causal and direct struc tural analysis, general scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, abstrac tion and generalization were used in the research. The materials of the study will be used in the research work conducted by the Department of Explosive and Missile and Artillery Research of the Military Research Laboratory of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, which will help forensic experts deter mine a unified methodological approach to the examination of events related to the use of 9M723 OTRK 9K720 Iskander-M ballistic missiles by Russia.
