Abstract

This article investigates the market for power-generating devices in Ukraine amidst martial law and widespread power outages resulting from the Russian Federation’s armed aggression and the consequent destruction of critical energy infrastructure. Power-generating devices are categorized into fuel-based generators, solar energy systems, energy storage and conversion systems, and alternative or niche solutions. These technologies are utilized by households, small-to-large private enterprises, and various state institutions across Ukraine to ensure an uninterrupted power supply. Such measures are essential for maintaining living standards, operational continuity, and the fulfillment of professional duties during the ongoing conflict. The study aims to identify the impact of key factors, specifically those arising from military operations, on market conditions within the autonomous power generation sector. The methodological framework employs both general and specialized research methods, including formallogical, systemic-structural, and comparative-legal analyses, alongside a comprehensive review of scientific literature and forensic expert practices. This multidisciplinary approach enables a holistic examination of market formation in the energy sector. The scientific novelty of this research lies in its integrated analysis of market shifts under conflict-driven variables, the identification of critical research gaps, and the justification for developing unified methodological frameworks for evaluating such devices. The findings emphasize that this topic remains highly relevant, necessitating rigorous study by commodity experts to ensure an objective determination of market value amidst current supply deficits and systemic risks.
