Abstract

In this paper, the author presents footwear imprints databases existing in neighboring countries. In particular, specificity of creating relevant footwear imprints databases and problems connected with expert investigation of footwear soles are emphasized. Prospects of creating a single multinational system of databases based on the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes are reviewed.
