Abstract
The article outlines the sequence of actions taken by experts when conducting examinations of leather products: determining the origin of the material, describing the panels (plates) from which the leather goods are made, identifying apparent and hidden defects, and establishing their origin (whether technological, manufacturing, or occurring during wear). Ultimately, this leads to identifying the root cause of the defects in the leather products that rendered them unfit for use.
