Abstract
The article is devoted to the issues of investigating the destruction, destruction or damage of cultural heritage objects, and examines key aspects of the methodology, which can have a significant impact on the restoration of destroyed objects during the war. The main attention is paid to the process of proving the elements of the objective side of the offense, which is of great importance for determining the degree of responsibility. The importance of properly documenting the inspection of the scene and photographing in the context of an investigation into the destruction of cultural heritage during war cannot be overestimated. These steps are determined to be decisive in terms of the human rights and cultural significance of the sites. An inspection report, properly drawn up, not only records the facts of damage, but also determines the circumstances and context that play an important role in qualifying the offense. Its correct design allows you to preserve the smallest details that can be of great importance for further investigation. Photographic recording, for its part, is a key tool for collecting evidence. High-quality images allow you to study the condition of objects in detail, and their description helps to avoid misinterpretation or loss of context. An important advantage is the possibility of using these photographs in further stages of the investigation, in trials or international appeals, enhancing the objectivity and credibility of the evidence presented. The need to involve experts to determine the extent of damage to objects is also highlighted. Working together with specialists in the field of conservation, archeology and other fields can greatly facilitate a high-quality investigation and determination of the scope of the offense. The article identifies important aspects of investigation for effectively countering the destruction and destruction of cultural heritage in war, and provides practical recommendations for ensuring objectivity and accuracy during investigation.
