The main objectives of the preliminary investigation stages on the construction and testing of forensic versions

Abstract

The author of the article identifies four stages of the process of building and testing of forensic versions (preparatory, search-and-forming, operational, and evaluation) and, in accordance with these stages, determines the specific tasks that subjects of pre-trial investigation have to solve. It notes that providing specific major tasks enables a deeper understanding by the subjects of the pre-trial nature of the process of building and testing forensic versions, timely detection and elimination of errors, and achieving effective results in pre-trial investigation and crime detection.
