Abstract
The article describes the methodological aspects of automated forensic phonoscopic research. The authors have shown the feasibility of the use of specialized software and hardware systems in the course of the examination of materials and means of digital recording. Analyzed the effectiveness of methods and software as a part of said information systems for diagnostic and identification of expert studies.
Development of the idea that the digital signal recorded on each machine, contains in its structure the individual self-similar structures that can be used during phonoscopic examinations, was the creation of a new separate expert methodology and specialized software «Fractal». The program is designed to identify the recording of digital equipment, the establishment of the primary digital soundtrack, and signs of its mounting on the digital data, which are available both in hardware and in digital phonograms. You also have the opportunity to establish the absence of signs of digital editing analog phonograms.
It was found that in this audio file highlighted recurrent stable self-similar structure of education after the analog-to-digital conversion bits of the file. These structures are identified as physically specific characteristic features of the individual transducer instance, characterizing a specific recording device. The study is statistical in nature and sufficient reliability of the results is calculated the probability density function for such self-similar structures, which actually represents a channel characteristic recording-reproducing this instance recorder. The method of statistical hypotheses applied in this method allows to obtain a solution in which the characteristics of digital files that are studied, differ from the error probability sufficient for the categorical conclusion that they are identical.
The methodology of the study materials and means of digital audio based on a statistical analysis of fractal structures in the processing of digital recordings using the «Fractal» is a new qualitative transition to computer-aided expert study which predicted error is given the result.
The high level of abstraction of the results of forensic examination phonoscopic obtained using the proposed application of the automated expert study requires further development of methodological approaches that will take them in the form of criminal proceedings available to participants who do not possess specialized knowledge in this field.
