Abstract
The world is undergoing a process of digitalization, and the information age has led to an increase in criminal sophistication. Data needs even greater protection along with intellectual property. Ukraine is no exception, as most areas of human activity and society are undergoing digital transformation in our country. At the Davos 2022 summit, Ukraine was called the “digital tiger” of Europe. However, the war has posed new challenges. Since 2022, when Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, a total of 124,566 Russian war crimes have been registered, which has necessitated the processing of a significant amount of information, including forensic analysis. Accordingly, there was a need to use digital technologies, namely artificial intelligence. There are discussions among scientists and experts about the use of artificial intelligence in forensic examination. The article is devoted to the study of the ways of using artificial intelligence in forensic examination. It is established that the introduction of artificial intelligence in forensic examination has its drawbacks and prospects.
