Abstract

The article examines the psychological mechanisms underlying the formation and consolidation of ideologemes of Russian propaganda in the consciousness of a mass audience under conditions of hybrid warfare and full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine. The aim of the study is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the psychological features of the formation of Russian propaganda ideologemes and to determine their impact on the consciousness of a mass audience, taking into account the objectives of comprehensive forensic psychological and linguistic examination. To achieve this aim, theoretical methods were employed, including the analysis and generalization of scientific sources, a comparative analysis of approaches to ideological behavior, as well as an interdisciplinary approach combining social and cognitive psychology, psycholinguistics, and selected findings from neuropsychology. The scientific novelty lies in the refined definition of the ideologeme as the minimal semantic unit of ideology with cognitive-emotional content that conveys evaluative attitudes, shapes cognitive frameworks, and influences the perception and behavior of recipients. The methodological advantage of applying a neurocognitive approach is substantiated, as it enables a comprehensive analysis of the processes of formation, consolidation, and influence of ideologemes on the consciousness of recipients, taking into account the interaction of cognitive processes, emotional responses, and the information environment. A five-stage psychological algorithm for the formation of ideologemes is proposed, including the stages of emotional destabilization, cognitive framing, repetition, internalization, and behavioral externalization, which allows for a systematic description of their impact on consciousness. The conclusions state that the ideologemes of Russian propaganda are complex cognitive-emotional constructs that shape stable models for interpreting social reality and behavior. Understanding their mechanisms is essential for the effective work of forensic psychologists, and the proposed approaches may be used to develop criteria for assessing the manipulative potential of linguistic material and to enhance the validity of expert conclusions in criminal proceedings concerning crimes against the foundations of Ukraine’s national security.
