Abstract

This article deals with issues related to the problems of engineering and transport expertise and the imperfection of its appointment. The author reveals the essence of the untimely appointment of expertise and insufficient information for an expert in the formation of the conclusion. It is also indicated what data is to be provided by automotive experts and what the investigator needs to know for the appointment of the examination. In practice, in the investigation of road accidents, which are classified as technical violations, in connection with the specifics of this category of cases, one of the main evidence is the conclusion of engineering transport expertise. The fact that the conclusion of engineering transport expertise is not the latest evidence in the affairs and decision-making on them requires the improvement of the quality of investigation in business and causes the increase in the need for engineering-transport expertise at a higher level. The complexity is become obvious in the formulation of questions for expertise, the complexity of establishing objects for research and data that provide completeness to study the mechanism of traffic accident, as well as the establishment of causes and connections with the event of any actions or inactivity of road-transport accident.
