Abstract

As marked in the article, in order to conduct forensic examinations and enhance their evidentiary value, there should be appropriate methods based on the use of modern scientific advances and technology which enable to obtain objective documented results for measurement. On the basis of specific examples of performed exploratory research is shown that mathematical methods gradually resume a dominant position in technological approaches, being realized in various types of forensic examinations. It is emphasized that the results of the examinations can later be applied in developing relevant methods which will make it possible to decide expert identification tasks.

The provided examples conducted in the National Bureau of Expertises of the Republic of Armenia demonstrate the importance of conversion of scientific-methodological work to a totally new level in solving identification tasks of forensic expertise.
