Abstract

During the handwriting examinations the specialists often have to carry out a research of signatures made by persons in their own name with deliberate changes of their usual signs handwriting of a signature. In such situations, at experts there are significant difficulties in assessing the signs of signature handwriting that appeared in the investigated signature. Not excluded errors of experts. In connection this method of research of such signatures need it into improvement.

In order to identify the stability and variability of general and specific signs of handwriting in these objects, criminalists of the Kiev scientific research institute of the forensic examinations were carried out an experimental research of authentic signatures performed with the change handwriting signs handwriting of a signature various ways: unusual hand for writing, by varying the inclination or the size of the elements of signature, with the change of transcription of signatures, with arbitrary change in the of general and specific signature handwriting features. In the experiment, was attended by 28 of persons aged 22 to 60 years, and was gotten more than 1700 of signatures made with the deliberate change of signs like in the listed techniques above.

After the treatment and analysis of this experimental array of signatures have been installed certain characteristics in the manifestation of general and specific handwriting features of modified objects compared to with signatures made in the ordinary conditions. The obtained data have allowed to the experts by handwriting make some recommendations on research of authentic signatures made with deliberate changes of signs handwriting of a signature.
